Waddell & Reed financial planner honored for 11th time

Waddell & Reed financial adviser Janette F. Koon has been named a recipient of the firm’s 2017 Crest Award, among the highest honors for the firm’s advisers.The awards are given to advisers based on an analysis of investment, insurance and financial planning sales. Koon has received the recognition for the 11th time.

Koon serves clients in Greenwood and Bloomington.

Local agents presented with RE/MAX awards

Three agents with RE/MAX Results have recently been presented with the RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award.The distinction recognizes successful agents who have completed more than $35 million in closed sales volume during their careers with the company.

This prestigious award has been earned by Nancy Burk, Carlos Higareda and Jenny Laughner.

Burk has been working in the real estate industry for more than 11 years and has experience in residential real estate, luxury homes, new construction and relocation. In addition to the Hall of Fame award, she has earned the RE/MAX 100% Club award.

Higareda has over 12 years of experience in selling real estate and specializes in residential property, condominiums, farm land, as well as investment properties and new construction. He has earned the RE/MAX 100% Club award.

Laughner has been selling real estate for over 13 years and specializes in residential property, condominiums, farm land, luxury homes, and new construction. She has earned the RE/MAX 100% Club and Platinum Club awards.

Franklin Chamber volunteer ambassadors announced

The Franklin Chamber of Commerce has announced its 2017 Chamber Ambassadors.

Ambassadors serve as representatives of the Franklin Chamber of Commerce. They are the chamber’s volunteers who participate in a variety of programs, projects and activities. Ambassador eligibility requires being employed by a Franklin Chamber of Commerce member in good standing and by engagement with the chamber.

Local attorney recognized by state attorney magazine

Johnson County resident Dina M. Cox has been selected by Indiana Super Lawyers magazine as a top attorney for 2017.Only 5 percent of the lawyers in the state are named by Super Lawyers, according to a statement.

She also was listed in the Top 50 and Top 25 Women.
