Service sorority Tri Kappa celebrated its founding this week.
The Franklin Zeta chapter of Tri Kappa was founded in 1903. The group currently has 57 members and gives away $12,800 each year to to organizations in Franklin, such as Boys and Girls Club, Girls Inc., Hunger Heroes, Franklin Education Foundation, and Fast Track. In addition, two college scholarships are given each year to Franklin Community High School seniors.
Statewide Tri Kappa donates $1.5 million to endeavors of charity, culture, and education.
