Vandalism reported in neighborhood near Franklin

A resident woke up to find graffiti on his garage and car in a neighborhood near Franklin.

The graffiti was reported in the Southbrook neighborhood, near Mauxferry Road and U.S. 31, south of Franklin. And the sheriff said other vandalism has been reported there in the past, including to a sheriff’s office vehicle.

The resident in the 1000 block of Leerkamp Drive reported the most recent vandalism on Thursday afternoon and said it happened sometime overnight Wednesday. He found a drawing of male genitalia on his garage door and writing on his vehicle done with vehicle window paint. He had washed the writing off his vehicle, and said he also would be able to wash it off his garage, the report said.
