FRANKLIN
Andrea Christine (McKee) Colley of Franklin passed away on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017.
Andrea was born Sept. 28th 1980, in Johnson Memorial hospital in Franklin.
She is survived by her parents, Kenneth and Bonita McKee of Franklin. She is also survived by her husband, Matthew Colley; along with their four children, Kaitlyn, Nathan, Ava and Reese. She is survived by a brother, John (Heather) McKee of Morgantown; two nieces, Miley and Mckenzie; nephew, Austin Fischer; and grandmother Patsy McKee of Nineveh.
Andrea attended school in Franklin, graduating at the top of her class, and then obtained secondary education in paralegal studies.
Andrea worked with various attorneys before ultimately working as a clerk in the Johnson County court system.
Andrea left the court system and purchased a home in Franklin and had her first child Kaitlyn, followed by Nathan, then Ava, then Reese.
Andrea was truly a devoted mother and found no higher cause or title other than being called “Mom.”
She was a wife who truly made her husband a better person. She was his best friend, and partner, as was he to her. They loved to take their children on RV road trips and just be together as a family.
Andrea was a beautiful daughter and considered her mother and father to be her best friends. Andrea is a daughter who could never be replaced. Andrea loved life, living each minute to the fullest, and always followed a simple motto, “Love, Laugh and Live.”
Her selfless dedication to her children and family will leave a void that cannot be filled. Always and forever, my sweet angel.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin and 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. Rev. Larry McAdams will conduct a celebration of Andrea’s life at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at First Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
