INDIANAPOLIS
William “Bill” Clayton Mears, 91, of Indianapolis, died on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Mae Mears; children, Michael Mears, Thomas (Mary Ann) Mears, Edward (Sue) Mears, Catherine (Mark) Roler and Sharon (Joe) Busby; stepsons, Marshall (Rita) Samuels and Max W. Samuels; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nellie May Mears; and stepdaughter, Donna L. Majors.
Services for will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 7602 Madison Ave., Indianapolis. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Greenwood.
Memorial contributions can be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
