Thomas “Tom” Raymond Haapala, 70, died on Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, at his home in Brown County.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Lee (Meadows) Haapala; children, Holly Ann McCash of Brown County, Dawn (Lee Hawley) Sholders of Bedford, Thomas Charles (Katie) Haapala of Plainfield; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Judith L. (Bill) Freeman, Rosemary A. Adams, Joyce A. Denton and Harry L. Ott, all of Indianapolis, Paul E. (Jill) Ott of Rhode Island, and half-brother, Robert “Bob” Haapala of Michigan.

The Rev. Burt Brock will conduct a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St., Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown with military rites presented by the Brown County Honor Guard.
