To the editor:
I am replying to Mr. John Jefferson’s assertion (letter to the editor, Jan. 24) that one cannot buy a gun over the internet without a background check. I suggest Mr. Jefferson go to www.armslist.com.
This website’s stated purpose is to connect gun buyers and sellers and does not get involved in individual transactions. On Jan. 24, there was a Glock 36 with various accessories for sale for $500. I did not contact the seller and try to buy the gun since I am not interested in buying that gun.
Mr. Jefferson, I don’t want your $100. Please donate it to a charity that addresses hunger or poverty in Central Indiana.
