Jack P. Bowden

INDIANAPOLIS

Jack P. Bowden, 77, Indianapolis, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017.

He was born Aug. 27, 1939, in Indianapolis, and was a graduate of Manuel High School.

Jack owned and operated Jack’s Floor Covering for years. He later retired from Nichols Cabinets in Bargersville.

An avid woodworker, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing corn hole.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Donna (Sodrel) Bowden; children, Debbie Edlin (Skip), Jack Bowden, Daniel Edlin (Judy), Larry Bowden, Robin Canada (Jerry), Terri Bowden; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Edith) Bowden.

He was preceded in death by son, Jeff Bowden; siblings Jerry Bowden and Ann Odell Scotten.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave., Indianapolis followed by the service at 7 p.m. His final resting place will be in Derby.
