INDIANAPOLIS
Alfred L. Boat, 83, of Indianapolis, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017.
Survivors include his children, Leonard A. (Sharon) Boat, Phyllis M. Boat, Walter L. (Dana) Boat, Sue A. (Chris) Jennings, Christine L. (Chris) Knowlton; siblings, Phillip Boat, David (Mae) Boat and Liz (Cecil) Klippen; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in passing by his wife Carolyn Boat, the mother of his children and his wife of 10 years Marsha Boat (mother of Jeff and Tony), parents and siblings Mary Hoskins, Robert Boat, Margaret Jones and Tony Boat.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be given to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, St. Vincent de Paul – Indianapolis or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
