A local chili cook-off will benefit a children’s hospital in Indianapolis.
Kiwanis Club of Greenwood and Greenwood United Methodist Church are hosting the dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at 525 N. Madison Ave.
Adults can get chili, cornbread, dessert and drink for $7. Children can get a hot dog, chips, dessert and drink for $3. Proceeds go to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health.
Toy donations will also be accepted to stock the hospital’s playrooms.
A silent auction during the meal will benefit scholarships given by the Kiwanis Club.
