Greenwood woman dies from crash injuries

<div>A Greenwood woman died from injuries she suffered in a crash on Interstate 65 <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">on Friday</span></span>.

The crash happened on the ramp from northbound I-65 to eastbound Interstate 465 just after <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">8:30 a.m.</span></span> Tamara Hacker, 51, was killed after her vehicle rear-ended a semi on the ramp, according to a news release from Indiana State Police. Hacker was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis in critical condition, and died <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">three days later</span></span>.

<div>Indiana State Police are investigating the crash, and whether it could be related to a road rage incident, the release said.

<div>A passenger and a witness both told police Hacker had sped up to get away from another car that was tailgating her, and then Hacker’s vehicle struck the back of the semi, the release said. The semi driver was not injured.

<div>Police have a description of a black passenger vehicle, and are continuing to investigate.</div>
