EDINBURGH
Raymond W. Burton, 49, of Edinburgh, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at Johnson Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 15, 1967, in Bartholomew County. He was the son of James W. and Carolyn (Bailey) Burton.
He is survived by his mother and daughters, Mindy Elizabeth (Kenny) Ping of Columbus, and Suzanna Marie Burton of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Clayton Edward Ping, Weston Forrest Ping, and Sila Kaed Vore; brothers, Arthur (Cara) Burton of Edinburgh and Brian Burton of Edinburgh.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He enjoyed time with his family and friends, racing and riding his motorcycle at high speed, music and being outdoors.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Lewis Burton on Saturday at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
