4000 block of Magnolia Drive: A man reported at 6:07 p.m. Tuesday that someone called him claiming he had unpaid taxes. The call was fraudulent.
Shoplifting
Walmart, 2125 U.S. 31 North: A loss prevention officer reported at 5:34 p.m. Tuesday that a woman attempted to steal paint and cat food. She was issued a summons to appear in court.
Counterfeiting
Franklin Community Schools, 998 Grizzly Cub Drive: An employee reported at 2:23 p.m. Tuesday that someone sent in a fake $100 bill to be put on a lunch account.
Thefts
White’s Home Improvement, Overstreet Street: An employee reported at 1:58 p.m. Tuesday that someone entered a work truck and stole several tools.
Foxes Den Self Storage, 2660 U.S. 31 North: A man reported at 3:41 p.m. Tuesday that about $500 in tools were stolen from his storage unit.

Theft
500 block of Shady Brook Heights, Greenwood: A woman reported at 9:38 p.m. Tuesday that someone stole designer purses, a digital navigation system and cellphone from her home.
Fraud
700 block of North Bluff Road, Greenwood: A woman reported at 1:16 p.m. Tuesday that she received a call from someone purporting to be from the U.S. government claiming she could apply for a loan for people who pay their taxes on time. The call was fraudulent.
