Kiwanis chili supper to benefit Riley Hospital

The Greenwood Kiwanis Club’s seventh annual chili supper for Riley Hospital is set for Jan. 27 at Greenwood United Methodist Church, 525 N. Madison Ave.

Chili lovers can stop by between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. to sample several kinds of chili and vote on their favorite.

Several area Kiwanis clubs will compete for the people’s choice trophy, including Perry Township, Danville, Northwest Hendricks, Plainfield and the Johnson County Aktion Club.

For $7, attendees can try all the chili they want with all the fixings — along with cornbread, dessert and a beverage. Children 8 and under can have a hot dog, chips, dessert and beverage for $3.

All of the proceeds from the dinner will go to Riley Hospital, and there also will be a silent auction to fund three area high school scholarships.

In 2016, the club raised $2,000 for Riley.
