Trojans squeak past Plainfield
Center Grove dominated the middle weight classes and edged Plainfield on Wednesday evening by a score of 33-28.
The Trojans got victories by fall from Alex Petro (113 pounds), Logan Coyle (152) and Jonah Hays (170). Winning by decision were Zach Dancheck (132 pounds), Austin King (138), Joel Brada (145), Gleason Mappes (160) and Shane Stits (195).

Men’s hoop falls to Hanover
Facing Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference leader Hanover, Franklin lost 78-57 on Wednesday at the Spurlock Center.
The Grizzlies (4-11, 1-7 HCAC) were led by freshman Braxton Day, who scored 12 points. John Beineke added 10 points.
Women’s hoops defeated on road
Franklin’s women also suffered a loss to Hanover on Wednesday, falling by a 67-46 count.
Mandy Fisher had 13 points and eight rebounds to pace the Grizzlies (7-8, 5-4 HCAC), while Riley Achenbach added 10 points.
