Senior loan officer joins Ruoff office

Ruoff Home Mortgage has added Tony LaMonaca, senior loan officer, to the Greenwood office.LaMonaca was previously with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage for more than four years as a mortgage consultant. He has been a mortgage loan originator for 22 years. His areas of specialty are VA, FHA, USDA and conventional loans. He also has experience with renovation mortgages.

The Greenwood office is at 972 Emerson Parkway, Suite C.

Ruoff names Dodson top loan originator

Residential mortgage lender Ruoff Home Mortgage announced that Donnie Dodson was the top loan originator in the company for the month of December, as well as the entire year of 2016. The top spot in each branch office, as well as the company, is based on the number of closed loans during the month, as compared to peers.Dodson has been with Ruoff Home Mortgage since May 2015. He has won the top companywide spot several times, including last month.

Dodson works out of the Greenwood office, 972 Emerson Parkway, Suite C.

Bankers association names president, CEOGreenwood resident Amber R. (Moore) Van Til, JD, has been named president and chief executive officer of the Indiana Bankers Association, effective Jan 1.

She was previously president since March 31 when she was named successor to S. Joe DeHaven, prior president and CEO, who retired Dec. 31.

This leadership transition makes Van Til the first female president and chief executive officer of the IBA in the organization’s 120-year history, according to a statement.

Van Til joined the Association in 2002 as a lobbyist and has served as vice president-government relations, senior vice president-government relations, executive vice president and president. She was honored in 2015 as association professional of the year by the Indiana Society of Association Executives, and in 2008 she won in the category of Banking and Financial Services for the Best & Brightest awards, sponsored by Junior Achievement of Central Indiana Inc.

A graduate of the University of Indianapolis and of the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Van Til has completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin and earned the certificate of executive leadership from the UW Wisconsin School of Business.

F.C. Tucker opens new southside office

F.C. Tucker Company has opened a new South office at 195 N. Emerson Ave., Greenwood.The 1-storey, 7,000-square-foot office building features a spacious café area for meetings and collaborative work; private offices and multiple smaller meeting rooms; a large conference/closing room; and an outdoor patio, as well as mobile technology access.

The space, designed for flexibility and convenience, accommodates up to 70 associates and allows their staff to grow from their previous location at 1675 W. Smith Valley Road that supported approximately 40 associates.

Franciscan earns cleaning approval

Franciscan Health Indianapolis has been re-accredited for its environmental services operations at its Indianapolis and Mooresville hospitals.ISSA (the worldwide cleaning industry association) has awarded Franciscan Health with Cleaning Industry Management Standard re-accreditation with honors. There are roughly 70,000 building service contractors in the United States.

In 2014, Franciscan Health became the first non-governmental hospital recognized with the CIMS designation.

Umbarger named senior policy advisor

Bose Public Affairs Group LLC announced recently that former adjutant general of Indiana, Major General (Ret.) R. Martin Umbarger, joined the firm as a senior policy advisor in the Indianapolis and Washington, D.C. offices.Umbarger will work with clients on a variety of public policy issues, which include contract procurement and strategic advisory and planning work in the agriculture, defense, aerospace, logistics and business services sectors.

Umbarger served 46 years in the Indiana National Guard, retiring in May 2015 as Adjutant General of Indiana, a position to which former Gov. Joe Kernan appointed him in early 2004. He was reappointed by Gov. Mitch Daniels in December 2004 and by vice president-elect, Gov. Mike Pence, in December 2012.

As the Adjutant General of Indiana, Umbarger’s led more than 14,000 soldiers and airmen of the Indiana National Guard in their preparations for both state and federal missions.

Umbarger is a 1969 graduate of the University of Evansville and a 1997 graduate of the United States Army War College. He is president of Umbarger Agribusiness, a family-owned business for more than 77 years located in Bargersville. He is married to Rowana (Morris) Umbarger, and they have three children and eight grandchildren.

Baxter Y appoints new sports director

The Arthur R. Baxter YMCA has announced that Ashley Chitwood has been promoted to sports director.Chitwood served as a league site supervisor, as well as a personal trainer for the wellness department. During the transition, Chitwood also served as interim sports director.

Chitwood holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Indiana University. Her involvement in athletics goes back to her participation in team sports, and her past positions with the Baxter YMCA Sports Department for more than two years.
