Michael W. “Mike” Lock

Michael W. “Mike” Lock,  66, of Franklin, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, with his loving family at his side.

He was born Oct. 30, 1950, in Beech Grove to Loren E. and Lillian I. (Allen) Lock.

Mike was a graduate of Emmerich Manual High School with the Class of 1969.

He served his country in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Greenwood Christian Church.

He was an avid fisherman and he loved to hunt and trap as well.

Mike played softball, basketball and he loved running.

He worked at Emerson Controls for 34 years.

Mike married the love of his life, Debbie Robson on Nov. 29, 1969 and she survives him along with their sons, Michael W. (Pam) Lock II and Andrew (Kim) Lock, both of Franklin, and Christopher (Katie) Lock of Indianapolis, daughter, Julie Sinn of Henryville; brothers, Gary (Barb) Lock of Indianapolis, Paul Lock of Hope and Kevin Lock of Cloverdale, sisters, Suzie (Dave) Thomas of Indianapolis and Janet (Gerry) Gartung of South Carolina; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Mark Lock.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
