Alice Jane (Grubb) Logan, 89, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, in Greenwood.

She was born on Feb. 24, 1927, in Greenwood, to Burris and Leta (Griffith) Grubb.

She married Doral Logan on Sept. 9, 1945. He preceded her in passing on Nov. 4, 2007.

Alice is survived by three children, Kim (Roger) Miller of Greenwood, Pam (Arnie) Kesling of Shellsburg, Iowa and Dr. Dane (Karen) Logan of Cincinnati, Ohio; five grandsons, Jason (Victoria) Miller, Eric (Deb) Miller, Jared (Mindy) Kesling, Zachary (Becca) Logan and Cameron (Megan) Logan; and seven great-grandchildren, Olivia, Nora, Logan, Lydia, Miles, Natalie and Victoria. Also surviving is one brother, Ernest Grubb of South Carolina.

She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Doral; daughter, Kathy Logan; and sisters, Jean Downey and Martha Locke.

Alice was a 1945 graduate of Clark Township High School where she was the valedictorian of her class.

She farmed alongside her husband and they also owned and operated the Logan’s Country Store in Clark Township for many years.

She was employed by Lazarus, now Macy’s, for 13 years.

She was a lifelong member of the Rocklane Christian Church.

She was a member of the ESA sorority.

In her later years, Alice enjoyed writing her memories and creating recipe books for her granddaughters. She also enjoyed working on coin collections for her grandsons. She would want it said of her that she loved her family and was always proud of them all.

A celebration of Alice’s life will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with calling from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rocklane Christian Church, 4430 Rocklane Road, Greenwood, IN 46143.
