GREENWOOD
Gordon Keith Emmert, 77, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Greenwood.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara G. (Russell) Emmert; children, Curt Emmert, Kerry Emmert Stahl (Jason) and Doran Emmert; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marie Williams.
He was preceded in passing by his daughter, Tammy McMurray.
Mayor Mark Myers will conduct a celebration of life at 11 a.m. Jan. 13 at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, where military honors will be conducted.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mark McMurray College Fund, c/o Forum Credit Union.
