Jim Baynes, 97, died on Dec. 21, 2016, in Franklin.
He is survived by daughters, Polly Pershing, Becky Gratz, Barbara Kroon and son David Baynes; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Baynes.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in his honor made to to the TREE Fund at the Indiana Arborist Association.
A Masonic service, followed by the funeral service, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Kresge Chapel at the Indiana Masonic Home, 690 S. State St., Franklin. Committal services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Highland Friends Cemetery in Washington County.
Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin is handling arrangements.
