Commissioners look to fill board positions

The Johnson County Board of Commissioners is seeking interested individuals to serve on the following boards:

• Alcohol Beverage Commission Board (One board member, one-year term.) Interested individuals must be a resident of the county.
• Amity Fire Protection District (One board member, four-year term – Needham Township.) Interested individuals must live in the Amity Fire Protection District and Needham Township and must have knowledge and experience of fire protection and related activities.
• Bargersville Fire Protection District Board (One board member, four-year term – Franklin Township.)  Interested individuals must live in the Bargersville Fire Protection District and Franklin Township and have knowledge and experience of fire protection and related activities.
• Needham Fire Protection District (One board member, four-year term – Franklin Township.) Interested individuals must live in the Needham Fire Protection District and Franklin Township and have knowledge and experience of fire protection and related activities.
• Whiteland Fire Protection District Board (One board member, four-year term – Clark Township.) Interested individuals must live in the Whiteland Fire Protection District and Clark Township and must have knowledge and experience of fire protection and related activities.
• White River Fire Protection District Board (One board member, four-year term – White River Township.) Interested individuals must live in the White River Fire Protection District and White River Township and must have knowledge and experience of fire protection and related activities.
• Edinburgh Wright-Hageman Public Library Board (One board member, four-year term – Town of Edinburgh.) Interested individuals must live in the Edinburgh Wright-Hageman Public Library district and the Town of Edinburgh.
• Johnson County Park Board (One board member, four-year term.) Interested individuals must be a resident of the county and have knowledge in matters pertaining to parks and recreation.
• Convention, Visitor, and Tourism Board (Three board members, two-year term.) Interested individuals should list political party, if they are engaged in the convention, visitor, or tourism business, or involved in promoting conventions, visitors or tourism, and if they are engaged in the business of renting rooms, lodging or accommodations. Interested individuals also will need to include employer’s information.
