GREENWOOD, IN.
Michael ‘Mike’ S. Stowers, 46, of Greenwood, IN passed away Tuesday May 4, 2021 at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley, Alabama.
He was born July 24, 1974 in Beech Grove, Indiana to Don E. Stowers and Susan (Miller) Stowers. He married Amanda J. “Mandy” (Trusty) Stowers on August 24, 2009 in Gatlinburg, TN, she survives.
Mike was a 1992 graduate of Beech Grove High School and a graduate of ITT Technical Institute, earning an associate’s degree. He had been employed for over 25 years for RICOH, serving as a senior technician.
Mike was a doting husband and fur dad who loved his wife and fur babies with all of his heart. He was an amazing son, brother, uncle and godfather. Mike was a wonderful friend who would go out of his way to help those he cared about with anything. He was the “always on call” handyman, computer repair guy and Mr. Fix-It…if it was broken or someone needed help, he would be there as soon as he could (after he researched what was wrong and how to best fix it…sometimes watching hours of YouTube videos to make sure he learned exactly how to complete the repair).
If you knew Mike, you knew his orneriness and joking nature. He always brought smile and laughter to any room he entered. He was truly a gift to all of his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Amanda J. “Mandy” (Trusty) Stowers of Greenwood, IN, his parents Don E. Stowers and Susan (Miller) Stowers of Indianapolis, IN, sister Debbie Deak (Paul) of Indianapolis, IN, fur kids Kenzi and Bailey at home, his sister-in-law Jamie D. Haddan (Bruce) of Franklin, IN, nephews Drew Deak (fianc? Karlie Mattox) of Indianapolis, IN and D.J. Deak of Indianapolis, IN, niece Shelby Hendrickson (Kris) of Franklin, IN, nephew Vincent Haddan of Franklin, IN, Godchildren Kacen, Kyler and Stella Hendrickson, mother-in-law Pat J. (Noblitt) Trusty of Franklin, IN, many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Tom Trusty and fur kids Kahlua, Sophie and Butters.
Pastor Amy Lee will conduct a service on Wednesday May 12, 2021 at 11 AM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed for family and friends to connect at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/michael-stowers.
