Marilyn J. (Hughey) Beeler

FRANKLIN

Marilyn J. (Hughey) Beeler, 87, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at Greenwood Village South with her loving family by her side.

She was born July 4, 1929, in Franklin, to Harry and Lelah (Burkhart) Hughey.

She married Donald G. Beeler on Dec. 5, 1948 in Trafalgar; he preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1995.

She was a graduate of Trafalgar High School.

She retired in 1995 as activities director at the Franklin United Methodist Community, where she also had been a nurse’s aid and pharmacy technician. She later worked in the cafeteria at Webb Elementary School in Franklin and also a funeral service associate for Vandivier Tudor Funeral Home in Franklin.

She was a member of Christian Chapel Church in Morgantown.

She enjoyed playing bingo, crafts and being with her family — especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Donna L. Manley (Ray) of Louisville, Kentucky, Ray H. Beeler (Angie) of Chicago and Lisa A. Ellington (Doug) of Greenwood; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was welcomed into heaven by her parents; husband, Donald G. Beeler; daughter, Joni J. Heuchan; great-granddaughter, Carly Belle Hall; and two sisters, Patty Payne and Margie Tingle; and many other family and friends.

The Revs. Larry McAdams and Jerran Jackson will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 U.S. 31 South (Morton Street) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
