Pedestrian taken to hospital after being hit by vehicle

A 20-year-old Greenwood woman was treated and released from an Indianapolis hospital after police said she was struck by a car.

The accident happened just after 7 a.m. Tuesday. A witness told police that Mary Gulling had begun to cross Fry Road near Bomar Street when she was hit by a car, the report said.

Erin M. Records, 52, Greenwood, told police she tried to stop but couldn’t and believed she struck the woman, the report said.

Gulling had a head injury and was taken to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital. She was released Thursday, according to a hospital spokesperson.
