Harold R. Wilson

INDIANAPOLIS

Harold R. Wilson, 84, Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, surrounded by his family.

Born Nov. 15, 1932, in Liberty, Kentucky, to the late Willie and Esta Wilson, he attended Liberty High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired from General Motors after 38 years of service.

He attended Greenwood Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Virginia Wilson and daughter in-law, Christina Wilson; siblings, Jean Johnston, Leo Wilson, Ivan Wilson, Veltha (Tom) True, Dee (Howard) Lay.

Survivors include a son, Steven R. (Jody) Wilson; grandsons, Brad A. (Kelly) Wilson, Nick A. (Monica) Wilson; granddaughters, Jordan and Katie Strong; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Waylon Wilson; siblings, Carl (Jo) Wilson, Dale (Sheila) Wilson, Kenneth (Jeanie) Wilson, Paul (Sharon) Wilson and Patricia Wilson; in-laws, Norma Wilson, Lois Wilson; and many nieces, nephews and Jan.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135, with the funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
