J and Martha Compton of Franklin are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary with an open house hosted by their children from 2 to 5 p.m. Nov. 27 at Union Christian Church in Franklin.
Mr. Compton and his wife, the former Martha Canary, were married Nov. 18, 1951, at Union Christian Church.
He is a farmer.
She is a retired registered nurse.
They have four children, Steve Compton (Debbie), Pam Bridges (Mike), Beth Horton (Tom) and Tammy Gambrel (David); 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
