Franklin College Blues

The community is invited to a free live blues show at Franklin College, Nov. 15.

The featured band is long-time local favorite, Governor Davis and the Blues Ambassadors, in a show that begins at 7 p.m. in the Franklin College Branigin Room, Napolitan Student Center.

The Franklin College Blues Jam show will include many guest musicians who will join Davis — the Indiana blues artist whose recordings include the albums “Live” and “I Am the Governor” — on stage to perform a mix of classic and contemporary blues.

The Franklin event marks a reunion for Davis and the rest of the headlining band. The Blues Ambassadors, featuring co-founding guitarist and vocalist Steve Robbins, have been performing without Davis since late 2012, when Davis retired after performing in the group since its founding in 1991.

He has since performed with the Governor Davis Band and the Governor Davis Trio.

Free parking for the event is available behind B. F. Hamilton Library near the Napolitan Student Center. The venue is accessible to people with disabilities.
