Film screening to focus on health care

A local free screening of a film on end-of-life care is being sponsored by Community Health Network and the American Hospice Association.

The PBS Frontline film, “Being Mortal” is based on the best-selling book of the same name by Dr. Atul Gawande. The documentary explores the experiences of patients and families facing terminal illness and their relationships with the physicians who treat them.

The film will be shown 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 15 Community Hospital South, 1402 E. County Line Road, Indianapolis.

The discussion after the film will focus on what matters most to patients and families who are facing difficult treatment decisions.
