Boyce R. Klutts

GREENWOOD

Boyce R. Klutts, 91, passed away on Thursday evening, Oct. 27, at Greenwood Village South. He was a long time Greenwood resident.

He was born on Dec. 31, 1924, in Indian Trail, North Carolina, to Reese B. Klutts and Clara Bell (White) Klutts.

He married Betty Sherrill on Nov. 16, 1946, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Klutts of Greenwood; two sons, Wesley R. Klutts (Susan) of Greenwood and Sherrill R. “Sam” Klutts of LaCrescenta, Calfornia; and three grandsons, Spencer Boyce Valentine, Russell William Valentine and David Klutts.

 He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Henry Klutts and J. Vaughn Klutts.

Boyce was employed by CSX Corporation, formerly known as B&O Railroad, from 1948 till retirement in 1985.

He was an over 50-year member of Greenwood United Methodist Church, Greenwood Masonic Lodge No. 514, Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite, and Murat Shrine.

Boyce was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving in World War II.

Calling will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Monday, at Wilson St.Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St.
