TRAFALGAR
David McPeak, 77, passed away on Thursday morning, Oct. 27, 2016, at his residence in Trafalgar.
He was born on Aug. 8, 1939, in Indianapolis, to William Lee and Marjorie Ann (Sprong) McPeak. He married Patricia (Basham) on Dec. 12, 1960. She survives. He is also survived by their children, Deeann McPeak, Dale McPeak and David McPeak; brother, Steve McPeak; sister, Mary Helen Boots; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra L. McPeak, and sister, Patty Ann Jennings.
David was a graduate of Sacred Heart Catholic School class of 1958.
He retired as Captain of the Indianapolis Fire Department Station 26 after 27 years of service.
David was an avid fisherman frequently traveling around the U.S. as a member of the Bass Club. He also enjoyed his time on the board at Lamb Lake.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 1530 Union St., Indianapolis. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St., (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
