Bring animal in costume for shelter fundraiser

A Johnson County Animal Shelter Halloween fundraiser will aid in HVAC upgrades at the shelter.

Locals can get their pets micro-chipped for $10 all day Monday.  Visitors can bring their pets in a costume and have photos of them shared on social media. The shelter also will be open during extended hours, and all are welcome to trick or treat.

The event will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 31 at the shelter, 2160 N. Graham Road, Franklin.

All momentary donations up to $2,500 will be matched by Modern Woodmen.
