JOHNSON COUNTY
Dr. Vidya Miller of the Johnson County area, passed away at the Franciscan Health Hospice House on Oct. 17, 2016.
Dr. Vidya (nee Pusalkar) was born in Nashik, India on July 4, 1945. She came to the U.S. in 1969.
She was a family practice physician who loved her patients and her children with all of her being.
She had a fun, wonderful passion for life and all it had to offer. She loved football, a rare filet and a good scotch. She was a groovy lady.
We all miss her.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ms. Sanjivani Deshpande and Ms. Gulu Inglay, and brother, Mr. Aniruddha Pusalkar. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Miss Priya Patel.
She is survived by her sister, Ms. Bharati Pande. She is further survived by her son, Rahul “Monish” B. Patel; daughter-in-law, Tana Patel; and two grandchildren, Hayden Rhys Patel and Alexandria Colette Patel.
She was cremated in a small Hindu ceremony on Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory.
