Fall festival includes costume contest

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1300 S. U.S. 31, Franklin, will host a fall festival Oct. 29.

Festivities will include a costume contest, pumpkin carving, games, music, hay rides and more from 7 to 9 p.m.

All are welcome.

Church celebrating retirement with meal

Second Missionary Baptist Church, 201 E. Jefferson St. Franklin, is hosting a retirement celebration for the Rev. Irvin M. French and his wife Deborah French.

Friends are invited to the celebration Oct. 23, which will include a joint morning service starting at 10:30 a.m., with Pastors Homer Ford and French leading readings. The afternoon program will start around 2 p.m. with Pastor Anthony B. Toran officiating.

A meal after the service is planned, as well as a fellowship after the afternoon service with refreshments. All are invited.

Turkey, ham dinner features craft show

Honeycreek United Methodist Church, 2722 S. Honey Creek Road, Greenwood, will host the church’s annual turkey and ham dinner Nov. 5. Hours will be 4 to 7 p.m.

Sides and dessert will be included for $10 for adults, and $5 for children younger than 12.

There will also be a craft show and raffle, with proceeds going to missions.
