Tammera Jo Diaz, 59, of Liberty, Missouri, passed away Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, in North Kansas City, Missouri.
She was born June 13, 1957, in Greenwood to Harry Allen and Norma Lee Knight.
Tammy enjoyed reading, singing and dancing. She was a woman of faith through her Catholic religion. Tammy especially loved talking and being with her family. She brought joy to everyone she talked to and was an all-around happy person.
Tammy is preceded in death by her father, Harry Knight.
She is survived by her mother, Norma Knight; children, sons and their spouses, Joe and Paula Powell of New Baden, Illinois, Jamie and Kerri Powell of Liberty, Missouri, Nick and Toni Powell of Savannah, Georgia, Scott and Ginny Powell of Kansas City, Missouri and daughters, Rosie Diaz of Indianapolis and Emily Diaz of Long Island, New York; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; five siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. today Friday at Our Lady of the Greenwood Church, 335 S. Meridian St., Greenwood with visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of mass. Burial to follow at Rocklane Cemetery, Greenwood. Funeral arrangements by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence.
