DETROIT — Detroit police say two men were killed and a woman wounded in a shooting on the city’s west side.

Police say the woman was found on the front lawn of a house Friday evening and hospitalized. One man was found dead inside the house and the other victim was found in the back yard. None have been identified.

Police say they were called to the house about 20 minutes before the shooting because of a family dispute. A man who said he was hit in the head with a pipe was uncooperative and officers left.

Police say officers returned to the house after receiving a call about the shooting. The man they talked to during the prior incident wasn’t a victim in the shooting.

District commander Jacqueline Pritchet says investigators are trying to determine if the first incident was related to the shooting.
