A homeowner was accidentally shot in the leg Friday afternoon by a person who was shooting targets on property nearby.
No one has been arrested and the shooting is under investigation by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, according to a news release. The incident happened Friday afternoon in the 1700 block of North County Road 125W, which is northwest of Hopewell.
The man who was involved in target practice was shooting on his property off State Road 144, the report said.
The man who was shot was taken by ambulance to Methodist Hospital at Indiana University Health, the news release said.
