Karter Michael Clifford Popplewell

FRANKLIN

Karter Michael Clifford Popplewell, a 7-week-old infant, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. He was born Aug. 11, 2016, in Indianapolis.

He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. Karter was here for such a short time but his family will always remember his precious smile and holding his little hand.

To his family, he was perfect in every way. Mason, who loves super heroes, said that Karter was his “little batman!”

He is survived by his parents, Kayla and Jordan Popplewell of Franklin; a sister, Maleah Renee Roberts, and a brother, Mason Lee Roberts, both of Franklin; grandparents, Audra (Shawna) Richey of Nashville, Jerry Clifford Popplewell of Shelbyville, Angela Asher and Gary Sanders of Franklin, Christopher (Joni) Gossett of Whiteland; great-grandparents, Carter Gossett of New Whiteland, Carl (Martha) Johnson of Morgantown and Sally Helen Sidebottom of Franklin; aunts and uncles, Ian Gossett of Whiteland, Levi and Bailey Walsman of Franklin, Korbyn and Chysschynn Popplewell of Morgantown, and Karlee and Kalee Hurt of Scottsburg.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jordan Popplewell II; and great-grandparents, Stanley Asher and Patricia Gossett.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Edinburgh Full Gospel Church, 507 W. Center Cross St., Edinburgh, with visitation from noon until the service time on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Miller Cemetery, outside of Shelbyville.
