Interstate 65 ramps to close for road work

If you are driving on Interstate 65 this week, be prepared for ramp closures.

Crews are continuing work to put down pavement on the interstate between Main Street in Greenwood and Whiteland Road, which will require some ramps to temporarily be closed this week, according to a news release from the Indiana Department of Transportation.

Today, crews are expected to wrap up work paving the southbound right lane, which could require ramp closures between County Line and Whiteland roads for up to an hour at a time, the release said.

Tonight, crews will close the southbound I-65 exit ramp to Main Street in Greenwood beginning at 9 p.m. until about midnight. Then the entry ramp will close until about 6 a.m.

On Wednesday, work will move south to the Whiteland Road exit, where crews will close the southbound exit and entry ramps. The exit ramp will close for about four hours, beginning at 8 a.m., and the entry ramp will close after that. Work is expected to be done around 3 p.m., the release said.
