PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia police are investigating a report that a woman was hit with a baseball bat and then forced into a car by a man.

Police say the incident was reported to have happened about 9 p.m. Sunday in the city’s Juniata section.

A witness tells police he saw a white man get out of a black vehicle, possibly a Chevy Cruze, then hit the woman in the head with a bat. That witness says the man then dragged the white woman, who had short blonde hair, into the car and drive away.

Police say the man had a beard and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants.

The police Special Victims Division is investigating.
