Martha Elizabeth DeVore

INDIANAPOLIS

Martha Elizabeth (Harris) DeVore, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016.

She was born July 7, 1950, to the late Carl and Lillian Harris in Indianapolis.

She is survived by her husband, Larry DeVore; daughters, Beth Rugenstein and Lucy DeMichele; son, Christopher DeVore; grandchildren, Hannah and Katie Rugenstein and Cynthia and Logan Green; sisters, Virginia Morgan and Carolyn Myers; and several nieces and nephews.

Martha was a registered nurse and spent 42 years working as a nurse and clinical educator.

She was a member of Edgewood United Methodist Church.

Martha served her ministry with mission trips to Mexico and also working as a camp nurse at the Lions Club special needs camp.

She was a gifted vocal soloist and director of the children’s choir.

She enjoyed her time as a Girls Scout troop leader.

A celebration of life will take place at 3 p.m., with the visitation at 2 p.m. Sunday at Edgewood United Methodist Church, 1820 E. Epler Ave., Indianapolis.
