Jane Allen (Mandrell) Johnson

Jane Allen (Mandrell) Johnson, 78, passed away Thursday morning, Oct. 6, 2016, at Greenwood Health and Living in Greenwood. She was a resident of Franklin.

She was born Oct. 31, 1937, in Westmoreland, Tennessee, to William C. Mandrell and Annie Lewis (Wade) Mandrell. She married Jerry Johnson Sr. in 1967. He preceded her in passing in 2000.

Jane is survived by children, Donnie (Paula) Garrigus, Gary (Nancy) Garrigus, Jeff (Beth) Johnson and Daryl (Lisa) Johnson. Also surviving are three stepchildren, Jerry (Kathy) Johnson Jr., Mary (John) Fowler and Myrta (Brad) McQueen; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in passing by her parents; one sister, Lilly Woodall; and one brother, Bill Mandrell.

She attended Manual High School.

She was employed by Hook’s Drugs and Duncan’s Market in Whiteland, later known as Brown’s Regal Market.

She was a member of the Greenwood Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. Jane enjoyed touring haunted houses and loved her Sunday afternoon drives. She also enjoyed the Shrine Club’s bus trips to the casino and playing cards with family.

A celebration of Jane’s life will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St., (U.S. 31 North ) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
