William Glenn “Billy” Edwards

William Glenn “Billy” Edwards, 60, passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, in Lexington, Kentucky. He was a resident of Bowling Green, Indiana.

He was born March 15, 1956, in Beech Grove, to William E. Edwards and Kathryn L. (Derr) Edwards.

He is survived by his mother, Kathryn L. Edwards; fiancé, Vickie (Holt) Wilhoite; sister, Annette (Hans) Kraemer; children, Brandi Li and Derek (Lindsey) Clark; grandson, Landon; sister-in-law, Yvonne Edwards; nephew and nieces, Jeremy Douglas (Amanda) Edwards, Meagan L. Edwards and Karen (Josh) Lowe; and great-nephew, Owen Edwards.

He was preceded in passing by his father, William; and brother, Douglas Edwards.

William was a 1974 graduate of Greenwood Community High School.

William was employed with the Iron Workers Union, Local No. 22, retiring after 37 years. He later returned as an iron worker safety director.

His passion in life was for his family and his commitment to iron work.

Rev. Bill Horner will conduct a celebration of life service at 7 p.m. Friday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in memory of his brother, Douglas Edwards, at P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
