MARTINSVILLE
David Macy Patterson, 78, passed away in an accident on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, at his residence in Martinsville.
Born March 5, 1938, in Greenwood, he was a 1953 graduate of Center Grove High School and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was active in the Shrine Club, Eagle Riders, American Legion Riders and V.F.W Riders.
Survivors include his wife, Lori Patterson; children, Dave (Angela) Wade, Mike (Becky) Wade and Marianne (Michael) Heaton; stepchildren, Shaun McIlquham, Justin McIlquham and Lance McIlquham; 10 grandchildren, Kerstin Wade, Kevin Wade, Tammy Wade, Katie Wade, Nikki Wade, Ben Wade, Brittany Beasley, Joseph Amick Sara Mooreman and Elizabeth Francis; and step-grandchildren, Mason McIlquham, Brennan Whitmer and Skylar McIlquham.
He was preceded in death by his stepson, Brandon McIlquham.
A celebration of life will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Patterson Property, 7236 Old State Road 37 North, Martinsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society or Indiana Masonic Home.
