CLEVELAND — Police say the suspects in a drive-by shooting that wounded two children in Cleveland were seeking revenge over a robbery.

Police say a 3-year-old girl was shot in the forehead Tuesday night as she sat on her mother’s lap outside a home. She is in critical condition. A 9-year-old girl inside the home was shot in the back. Police say her injuries aren’t life-threatening.

Police say two men who had robbed a woman of her purse had gone to the house but were told to leave because someone might be looking for them. A car with four men inside then stopped in front of the home, and someone in the back seat opened fire.

No arrests have been made in the shooting.
