Main Street reopened after building damaged

A portion of Main Street in downtown Greenwood is open again after being closed for two days after a semi struck a building.

Police said a semi struck the American Business Insurance building, at 320 W. Main St., around 11 p.m. Saturday night. A witness told police the driver of the semi was attempting to make a U-turn.

The city blocked off part of Main Street due to concerns the front of the building could collapse into the street.
