The Greater Greenwood Chamber of Commerce will host talks by two Hoosier businesswomen for a leadership symposium on Tuesday.
Indiana National Guard Chief of Staff Col. Marjorie K. Courtney and Hulman Motorsports Senior Vice President Allison Melangton will speak at the chamber’s Women Leaders Symposium.
As a colonel in the U.S. Army and the first female chief of staff for the Indiana National Guard, Courtney will discuss how she achieved her success. Audience members can talk about common experiences and methods for overcoming issues in the workplace.
Melangton previously ran the Indiana Sports Corp. and Indianapolis 2012 Super Bowl Host Committee and served as senior vice president for USA Gymnastics. She also consults with NBC on its Olympic gymnastics broadcasts. In her keynote address, she will address the topic of leadership in the male-dominated sports industry.
In addition to discussions with Courtney and Melangton, the symposium will also have additional speakers who will discuss various leadership topics.
The symposium will be at Valle Vista Golf and Conference Center, 755 E. Main St., Greenwood. Registration is open to all.
