PHILADELPHIA — Police are searching for the gunman who fatally shot a 42-year-old man in the head in Philadelphia’s Hunting Park section.

WPVI-TV reports ( ) the shooting happened just before 11:30 p.m. Thursday on West Annsbury Street.

The victim, who wasn’t identified, was struck once in the head while standing outside his home. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Witnesses at the scene were able to give police a description of two men involved in the shooting along with their vehicle. That information has yet to be released.

Two people were taken into custody for questioning. It’s unclear if police have a motive for the shooting.
