MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A Maryland man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for selling heroin that resulted in the death of a West Virginia man.

Thirty-eight-year-old Lateef Fisher of Hagerstown, Maryland, was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Martinsburg.

Federal prosecutors say Fisher conspired with another person to sell heroin in June 2014 in Berkeley County. The sale led to the death of a 27-year-old man.
