A vehicle was destroyed after it caught fire in a cornfield in Greenwood.
Just before 1:30 p.m. Sunday, a driver told police he began having engine problems on Interstate 65, and pulled off on the Worthsville Road exit. He went east on Worthsville Road, but pulled off the side of the road when his engine stopped working, according to the report from Greenwood police.
The brakes on his vehicle stopped working and he drove into a cornfield, where his vehicle then caught fire, the report said.
The vehicle was a total loss, the report said. The Greenwood Fire Department is investigating the fire, the report said.
