ACWORTH, GA.
Dr. Ainslee Hood, 97, of Acworth, Georgia, died on Monday, Sept. 19, 2016.
Dr. Hood retired after 50 years as a family physician in Indiana, and also practiced emergency medicine in Cocoa Beach, Florida. He was a Georgia resident for 16 years.
Dr. Hood was of the Christian faith and a member of Kennesaw First Baptist Church.
His wife, Virginia, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughter, Beverly Hood Crews (Mike) of Acworth, and sons, Dr. Gary Hood (Susan) of Bend, Oregon, and Randy Hood (Mary Lou Shelly) of Trafalgar. Dr. Hood is also survived by his grandchildren, Luke Hood, David Hood, Jonathan Hood, Sarah Scholes, Lara Millikan and Lesa Crews; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E. Stop 11 Road, Indianapolis, IN 46237. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service.
